Oh Greek boys! You make my heart melt.
Wait- this blog is about health and nutrition right? Not how good looking some Greek boys are? Too bad. But the Greeks may have some heartthrobs due to their diet. They say “you are what you eat” after all…
Greek food consists of plenty of vegan options, including baked beans, salads, stir fries on rice or noodles, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), heart healthy fats like olives & tahini in hummus, and plenty of other spreads perfect for dipping fresh pita in.
In the western world we live in, pizza has been incorporated with a twist- plenty of olives and Mediterranean flavours are situated on top of a perfectly baked pizza pie. (Did you know 99% of pizza dough at restaurants are vegan- such an easy menu item to veganize!)
In this video I took you to my favourite Greek restaurant in the city. Maine’s Greek has incredible, flavourful dishes that make you wonder why you haven’t been eating Greek every day for the past 25 years?
